A BIG shout out to the winner of my Palentine’s Day Giveaway, Cindy L! So happy for you, girlfriend!
Oh, a reminder to those of you who belong to church or civic groups that are looking for a special events speaker for Easter or Mother’s Day 2026 – I still have a few openings and would be delighted to come love on your ladies. Please DO recommend me to your group leaders and point them to the speaker pages at my website, DeboraCoty.com – that’s where most of my invitations are generated, by word of mouth from my BFFs.
These days, my presentations usually center on blessings (as I bring a message from my book, Bless Your Heart,) but I have a variety of topics I can speak on if a different theme is desired. All my presentations are biblically based and laced with laughs so that you leave with a smile on your face and hope in your heart.
Just shoot me a private message to reserve the date before they’re gone (FB is fine) and then we can nail down details.
And another BIG development … if you follow me on FB (and I hope you do!) you know that two weeks ago, I was notified that Bless Your Heart was named a finalist in the SCWC (Southern Christian Writers Conference) Notable Book Awards (winners to be announced at the end of Feb).
I’m so very honored and grateful!
Well, guess what?? I can hardly believe it myself, but I was notified this week that Bless Your Heart is a silver medalist in the Illumination Book Awards: “celebrating books that shine a light on faith, hope, and spiritual growth.” Wow! Just … wow!. I’m spewing Ephesians 3:20-21 all over the place:
“To Him who is able to do EXCEEDINGLY, ABUNDANTLY, BEYOND all that we ask or think, according to His power that works within us, to HIM be the glory … forever and ever. Amen” (NKJV, emphasis mine).
I wanted to share this BIG news with you because I knew you’ll celebrate and enjoy the joy with me!
Hugs and many thanks for being my BFF!
Love, Deb

As I have been using your books every morning to start my day for years, I’m so pleased God has blessed you with this recognition. Congratulations on spreading God’s word and making it possible to see ourselves in your writing. I’m so enjoying your latest book, Bless Your Heart!
Awww, Paula, I feel totally honored and thrilled to know that you and I start the day together on a regular basis! You just blessed my heart big time, girlfriend! I will lift you up in special prayer this morning on my prayer walk. Hugs!
God Bless you in every way Deb my forever friend. You are such a bright light of encouragement & did I mention the wisdom you share based on your love for Jesus & His Word. I miss you so much & we finally settled in our house 2 days before Christmas & a week ago moved the rest of everything from Fl. I can’t wait to get your new devotional and my Chuck & I are so proud of you. Thank you so much for your work & sharing Jesus in such a down home application.
Blessings & praying for you,
Freda
Freda, it does my heart good to hear how happy y’all are in your new abode – no one deserves such a beautiful place to live, laugh, wonder, and worship more than you and your Chuck. Your years of service to our Lord are appreciated by all of us, and obviously by Him! Send pics so we can enjoy it too! Hugs and happiness to you both.
Congratulations, Deb! This is wonderful news and I’m so happy for all your successes – writing, speaking, and making loads of new friends. It’s already begun as a wonder-filled year for you. Stay the course!
You are so right, Cheryl – I’m filled with wonder at the surprises Papa God has in store for those of us who lean on Him for our very breath. Like you, my friend! What surprises has He popped up in your life lately? I love hearing from you.
Thank you Debora for surprising me with your fun prize! I almost never win anything!
Also, a huge congratulations on your Silver “medal” award! Most deserving. I’m thoroughly enjoying my daily reading and it is blessing my heart! Today’s lesson reminded me of playing tennis with my husband years ago and how every time we played, he managed to hit me with the ball, whether i was on his team or opposing team. When the direct hit to the face occured, I “politely (or not so)” stated I would never play tennis with him again – and to this day, I have not. Therefore, i will also never play pickleball with him either! Why do men have to play so aggressively?? Isn’t sports and games supposed to be fun? He has never invited me back on the golf course either, since I picked up the ball and threw it down the green! I didn’t want to hold the others back! lol We obviously do not play sports together anymore.
You’re more than welcome, Cindy! I get it that sometimes it’s better NOT to play sports with people you love. Same with household projects – Spouse and I came to the conclusion decades ago that our marriage is healthier if we tackle projects together, but not necessarily at the same time. Hugs! Glad to have you as part of our community of fun-loving BFFs!
