I have an announcement to make, my dear BFFs, and it’s not gonna have a smiley face attached.
Because of all the crazy import/export changes happening with China and tariffs right now, many shipments have been recently delayed. The vast majority of American books are printed in China, including devotionals printed by the publisher of my brand new book, Bless Your Heart. My poor innocent devos appear to be caught in middle of the fray.
So it is with heavy heart and bummed brain that I share the news with you (which I just heard from my publisher) that the Bless Your Heart release date that was supposed to be July 15 will now be mid-August. And that’s assuming that the cargo boats languishing in ports will be heading purposefully out soon since the new trade deals are signed and sealed. Now we just need delivery!
I’ll admit I’m a little disappointed. It’s not that I disagree with the politics involved (I don’t really know enough about the tariffs to complain), but after writing and rewriting Bless Your Heart for nearly a year and a half, I’m twitchy to get a hard copy in my hands (and yours!). Who likes to hurry up and wait? Not me.
I know, I know, not you either, my friend.
But I must now ask you to graciously extend some hardcore patience while we wait out this shipping conundrum. I love you for your patience and deeply apologize for the inconvenience. My book is not the only one waylaid; I understand there are many other new releases and book reorders languishing in the hold of cargo ships alongside mine.

The good news is that you can still preorder my book on Amazon now, and if you join my Bless Your Heart Launch Team (just fill out the application HERE), you’ll be sent an early digital copy so you can dig in even before before your print copy arrives. If you’re agreeable to help us get word of the new book out (you’ll have my eternal gratitude!), just sign the application and welcome to our team! All the details are included on the application.
There’ll be some cool giveaways and perks for launch team members, and I promise to hug you silly the next time I see you!
THANK YOU for your faithful patience and understanding. I feel like I could chew my shoe sole into putty but maybe that’s just Papa God’s way of telling me I have plenty more lessons to learn in the longsuffering department.
Hugs, Deb
Hang in there, Deb, it will be so worth it when your book finally does arrive!
God is seldom late, but never early
I’m sorry my last comment had the wrong quote! It was supposed to be “God is seldom early, but never late!”
Hi Debora!!! ?
I pre-ordered mine. I so agree with the current politics. Its a bummer for the delay …YET it will be worth the wait and something to look forward to.
Thanks for updating us.
We love and appreciate YOU so very much!!

My son has pre-ordered your book for my birthday. I will wait and I’m so sorry that you have this delay. I know your book is worth waiting for as I have all of your books.
God Bless
Best things come to thos who wait! It will be all the worthwhile when the book does come!
James 1:2-4:
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”
Debbie,
I am so sorry to hear about your upcoming book being delayed due to political decisions and tariffs! I’m glad that it will be coming out this fall and will make a great Christmas gift to give to all our wonderful Sisters-in-Christ! Sandi
