Keeping it short and sweet this week, I’d like to wish my BBFs (Blessed Friends Forever) a Happy Fall!
One of my favorite places to enjoy the changing of the season is in the Cathedral of God’s Creation in the Smokies (say, who can name which of my books that expression comes from – “the Cathedral of God’s Creation”? There might just be a fabulous fall gift in it for you if you leave the correct answer below!).
So I’m pleased to share a few of the photos I’ve taken this Oct. with you.
And I hope you’ll share some of your fave fall stills with your community of BFFs in the comments below. Hugs to you!
This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!
Love, Deb
Enjoy a well deserved time with God’s artwork.
Fall this years has been magnificent.
Where do you hail from, Carolyn? I’ve heard the colors in the US northeast were the best in decades this year. Hugs, dear BFF!
Smokies of NC.
You visited Holly Spring ladies years ago and we so were Blessed. I have moved to Webster Baptist in Jackson County and still leading Women’s group. Maybe next year, God willing we can invite you to Webster.
Blessings
Carolyn
Oh, yes, Carolyn – I’ll never forget the wonderful times I spent with the Holly Spring ladies! I would love, love, love to meet the Webster Baptist ladies so please do follow through with this terrific idea! I’ll be in the area again in April of next year and also several times during the summer and again in the fall (Oct.). You can PM me on Facebook or shoot me an email via the contact page on my website and we can nail down a date. I’m excited and look forward to hearing from you, my friend!
So beautiful! I go hiking at Mt. Woodson…wish there was a way I could post pictures for you . It’s my one of my favorite sanctuaries!!!! Btw Too Blessed to Be Stressed!
I wish we could see pics, Julie! I assumed photos were postable here in the comment section but perhaps not. Stay blessed, my friend!
How beautiful! Fall happened on a Wednesday this year in Florida! Lol. I miss the beautiful colors of autumn!!
Sandi, I didn’t know how much I missed them until I was again in the midst of the heavenly display of colors. This kind of beauty feeds the soul!
I live in Vermont and it’s been the most glorious fall season this year! I can’t remember a more spectacular, colorful year. Or a longer season. We still have color in the Champlain Valley where I live. God is good!
I wish there was a way to post pictures here, but that doesn’t appear to be the case.
I’m so sorry, Paula – I thought posting pics was possible but it appears that it isn’t. I would soooo love to see Vermont in the fall (or in any season!) and I know our other BFFs would too. It’s my dream to do a Vermont fall trip (I’m wishing for next year) and having never been there, I would love some guidance on your recommendation of where to stay and what to see. I think Champlain Valley will definitely have to be on my itinerary! I’d appreciate hearing from you via Facebook PM or via email through the contact page on my website. Many thanks, girlfriend!
Hi Deb!
I’m using Too Blessed to Be Stressed with my daily devotions and I think I saw this wonderful phrase there; however, I’ve got most of your works and I may be confusing them!!
Thanks for all you do!
Hi Janine! I may have mentioned “The Cathedral of God’s Creation” in a Too Blessed to be Stressed devo, but I’m looking for the first place it appeared in any of my books.*Hint: It’s not one of the Too Blessed to be Stressed books. **BIGGER Hint: Have you read either of my novels? ***BIGGEST HINT: The context it was used has to do with alligators.
Then it has to be either The Distant Shore or Billowing Sails.
I’ll go with Billowing Sails because everything runs together in my brain these days!?

Yep, girlfriend – you got it! In Billowing Sails, the “Cathedral of God’s Creation” was by necessity the church that Alligator Alice attended after her husband died and she was forced to quit attending “real” church to work on the river catching gators to make a living for her family. Emma-Lee learned to worship Papa God there as well via her sailboat, “The Island Girl.” PM me your mailing address and I’ll get your surprise out to you next week. Thanks for playing!
